Free, Confidential Business Appraisal
Whether you’re ready to sell now or planning a few years ahead, my free, confidential appraisal shows you what your hair, beauty or wellness business is really worth — and what would make it worth more.

What it is
A clear, honest view of your business’s market value, based on your financials, your team, your lease, your client base and what buyers in your sector are paying right now.
Who it suits
Owners of salons, medi-spas, injectables clinics, wellness retreats, yoga studios and IV drip clinics — whether you’re selling soon, planning ahead or simply curious.
The outcome
A realistic value range, a plain-English explanation of what drives it, and practical steps to protect or increase it before you sell.
Why an appraisal matters before you sell
Most owners I speak with have a number in their head. Sometimes it’s right, sometimes it’s optimistic, and sometimes it’s far too low. An appraisal replaces guesswork with a clear view of where you stand, so you can make decisions with confidence — about timing, about preparation, and about whether selling is the right move at all.
Because I’ve owned and run businesses myself, I know how personal this is. Your business is years of work, your team and your clients. I treat the numbers — and the people behind them — with care.

What affects the value of a salon, spa or wellness business
- Consistent, well-documented profit (not just turnover)
- How much the business relies on you as the owner
- Staff stability, skills and retention
- Client retention, rebooking rates and memberships
- Lease terms, length and transferability
- Fit-out, equipment and location
- Brand, reputation, online reviews and booking systems
- Compliance, registrations and product supplier arrangements
Appraisal versus formal valuation
An appraisal is a broker’s view of what your business is likely to achieve in today’s market, based on what buyers are paying for similar salons, spas and wellness businesses. A formal valuation is usually prepared by an accountant or valuer for legal, tax or lending purposes.
For most owners thinking about selling, an appraisal is the right first step: it is practical, based on real buyer behaviour, and free. If you need a formal valuation for another purpose, I can work alongside your accountant.
What your appraisal includes
- A confidential review of your last two to three years of financials
- Normalised (adjusted) profit — the figure buyers actually value
- A realistic market value range for your sector and location
- The strengths buyers will pay more for
- The risks that could reduce your price — and how to fix them
- A plain-English summary you can share with your accountant
- Clear options: sell now, prepare first, or keep building
- No obligation and no pressure to list

Business Appraisal: common questions
Straight answers to the questions owners ask me most.
Can’t see your question? Ask me directly or call 0432 371 067.

Is the business appraisal really free?
Yes. Your initial confidential business appraisal is free of charge and there’s no obligation to sell. Many owners use it simply to understand where they stand.
Will my staff or clients find out?
No. Appraisals are completely confidential. We can talk outside business hours, and I never contact your team, landlord or suppliers without your permission.
What information do I need to provide?
Ideally your last two to three years of profit and loss statements, your current lease, a summary of your team and services, and any key client or booking data. If you don’t have everything ready, that’s fine — we can start with what you have.
How long does an appraisal take?
Usually around a week from our first conversation, depending on how quickly the financial information is available.
I’m not planning to sell for a few years — is it still worth doing?
Absolutely. Knowing your value early gives you time to fix the things that hold value back, which is often where the biggest gains are made.
Will an appraisal tell me exactly what I’ll sell for?
It gives you a realistic range based on your figures and current buyer demand. The final price depends on preparation, timing, the buyer and the terms negotiated — which is why I also show you how to strengthen your position.
Can I get an appraisal if my financials aren’t perfect?
Yes. Most owners’ records need some tidying. I’ll help you identify add-backs and gaps so your true profit is clear.
